Job Description:
- Seeking an energetic, responsible, organized, detail-oriented, attentive and efficient laboratory technician to conduct chromatographic analysis of a variety of samples in support of R&D, customer service and manufacturing.
- The position will also include assisting in the analysis of samples using standard methods as well as assist senior analysts in development of new methods.
- Testing involves gas and liquid chromatographic techniques, automated titration, use of OpenLab chromatographic software and handling of chemicals for preservative determinations.
- The applicant is expected to maintain a safe and clean laboratory, work safely in an R&D environment, and actively participate in company safety programs.
Skills/Experience:
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associate degree in a Chemistry or Chemical Science, with a preference for analytical experience.
Experience with the following are highly preferred:
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography
- Gas Chromatography
- Familiarity with common chromatography data systems
- Accurate sample preparation procedures
- Statistical procedures and data processing
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Great organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
- A self-starter with ability to balance multiple tasks on different timelines
- Proven ability and passion for working within a highly collaborative environment.
- Sets high standards of personal excellence and demonstrates these behaviors in work habits
- A strong work ethic and a desire to learn new skills
