Key Responsibilities:
Lead Capital Projects: Spearhead the delivery of capital projects that are essential to regional and system-wide success.
Team Coordination: Manage and coordinate project teams to ensure that all key deliverables and deadlines are met with precision.
Vendor Management: Oversee third-party vendors to maintain the highest standards of project execution.
On-Site Leadership: Report daily to the hospital and be readily accessible within a commutable distance from Napa County, CA.
Flexibility: Occasionally work weekends based on project demands and departmental needs.
Regional Travel: Travel within a defined region as required to support project objectives.
Project Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to meet and exceed construction project goals.
Project Reporting: Review project reports for accuracy and completeness, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Communication: Keep design and construction managers informed of project progress and effectively communicate technical standards to the team.
Code Compliance: Stay updated on applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements to ensure project compliance.
Budget Management: Develop, review, and maintain project budgets, ensuring financial discipline.
Cost Data Management: Maintain detailed project cost data for future reference and analysis.
RFP Development: Create and manage RFPs for architectural and general construction services, ensuring the selection of the best partners.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldor a combination of equivalent education and experience.
Extensive Experience: 7 years of experience in construction management, with at least 4 years specifically in healthcare/hospital construction.
Supervisory Expertise: 3 years of experience supervising both direct reports and managing third-party vendors.
Land Use Knowledge: Proven expertise in land use practices and procedures across diverse geographic portfolios.
Financial Acumen: Extensive experience in analyzing and negotiating financial terms for architectural and construction proposals.
