Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Superintendent to oversee and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground wet utilities (sewer, water, stormwater) at various job sites.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in underground utility construction projects and demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Key Responsibilities:**
Project Oversight:** Supervise and coordinate day-to-day operations of underground wet utility projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Team Management:** Lead and direct the construction crew, providing guidance, support, and ensuring the crew adheres to safety standards and company policies.
Scheduling & Planning:** Develop and implement project schedules, allocate resources, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently to meet deadlines.
Quality Control:** Monitor the quality of work to ensure all installations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Safety Compliance:** Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including regular safety meetings, and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
Stakeholder Communication:** Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients, ensuring that project goals and expectations are met.
Troubleshooting:** Identify and resolve issues that arise during the construction process, providing solutions to any technical challenges encountered.
Documentation & Reporting:** Maintain accurate records of daily activities, work progress, and equipment usage. Provide regular progress reports to management.
Supervision:** Oversee the training and development of the construction team, ensuring efficient workflows and maintaining a productive environment.
Qualifications:
Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground wet utilities construction (water, sewer, stormwater) with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Knowledge:** Strong knowledge of underground construction methods, materials, and safety regulations related to wet utility installations.
Leadership Skills:** Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team effectively. Experience in managing large crews and coordinating multiple subcontractors.
Skills:** Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Certifications:** OSHA certification or similar safety-related certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various outdoor conditions, including working on active construction sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in municipal or commercial wet utility projects.
Familiarity with the Corona area and local regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of project management software and tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
