Warehouse Associate
Location: Zebra Warehouse Argyle, Texas
Job Type: Part time - 20 hours
Reports To: Warehouse Manager, CFO, COO
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Warehouse Associates to join our growing team. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, inventory control, and smooth shipping/receiving processes. As we scale, one of these associates has the opportunity to grow into a Warehouse Manager role, taking on leadership responsibilities in team management and operations optimization.
Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment & Shipping
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency.
- Process shipping labels, track orders, and coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.).
- Ensure all packages meet company quality standards before shipping.
- Optimize packing processes to reduce shipping costs while maintaining product protection.
Receiving & Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming shipments of products and materials.
- Accurately log received inventory into the warehouse system.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, ensuring proper stock levels and organization.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages in inventory.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Inspect products for quality before shipping and upon receiving.
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
- Follow company procedures for handling damaged or defective goods.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the warehouse.
Warehouse Organization & Maintenance
- Keep all warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Organize shelves, stock bins, and workstations for optimal efficiency.
- Assist with implementing warehouse best practices and improving workflow.
Data Entry & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and warehouse activity.
- Assist in updating warehouse management software or inventory tracking tools.
- Generate reports on inventory, order accuracy, and fulfillment times.
- Develop and implement warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs). (To prepare for future team members).
Growth into Warehouse Manager Role (Future Responsibilities)
- Lead and train new warehouse employees as the company expands.
- Monitor and improve shipping, receiving, and fulfillment efficiency.
- Oversee inventory audits and coordinate with the operations team.
- Ensure warehouse operations align with business growth and strategy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1 years of warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Experience with inventory management software (or willingness to learn).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain (a plus).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.89 - $16.51 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
Schedule:
