What are the responsibilities and job description for the Azure Engineer Automation Engineer - Terraform position at ZEEKTEK?
We have a 6-month contract to hire position open for an Azure Engineer to help with Migrations, Implementations and Automation. The engineer should have a good background with Terraform automation.
Candidates should have 2 - 4 years of experience
This position is NOT for an Azure DevOps engineer.
We are looking for a person who has a solid background helping enterprise organizations with Azure implementations, build, deploy, and automate.
The candidate should be passionate about automation and always looking for opportunities in replacing repetitive tasks with automation.
Day to Day
- Help application teams in their cloud journey by automating infrastructure provisioning and providing guidance.
- Support and Troubleshooting Azure Platform
- Plan and execute Cloud Platform build for application team
- Understanding system architecture and tune it to scale.
- Sometimes it needs to be on-call and requires sharp troubleshooting skills.
- Candidates should be inquisitive and follow an analytical approach to solving problems.
- Experience with giving demo and technical training is a plus
- Because our engineers share ownership of services and what customers experience, they need to have good relationship skill.
- Experience with CI / CD pipeline configuration setup, Terraform
Soft Skills :
Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Intermediate - Ability to work independently with guidance from lead
Required Skills / Experience : Preferred Skills / Experience : 1. 2 years of hands-on Azure experience 1. JIRA and Scrum 2. Azure Subscription, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, Security Groups, VM, Multi-region, Scale set, Kubernetes, Network and Load balance 2. CI / CD Gitlab, Tools integration 3. Scripting and CLI, Terraform 3. Education Requirement : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience Education Preferred : Master's - CS or related fields
