The Business Systems Analyst 2, with some guidance by a senior level Business Systems Analyst, is a contributor on one or more scrum teams and serves as a technical liaison to the Product Manager, business product owner and the technology development team. The Business Systems Analyst 2 translates customer business needs into well-defined user stories through a consistent process of building collaborative relationships, analyzing and modeling requirements, and ensuring that designs and implementations fully meet defined business objectives. Business Systems Analyst 2 is a subject matter expert for the system’s service offerings, functional capabilities, and integrations with other internal and external applications, while applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of technology system investments
SKILLS, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or related field, from a four-year college or university, or a combination of equivalent education and/or work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in agile software development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of agile software development methodologies, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and object-oriented programming methodologies.
- Understanding of Product Management as a discipline is preferred.
- Understanding of message processing UIs such as Postman, SoapUI, or ReadyAPI for functional API testing
- Understanding of systems development and input/output modeling.
- Understanding of API design, documentation, and data mapping using tools such as SoapUI, Postman, ReadyAPI, or OpenAPI for functional API testing.
- Knowledge of database, OS, other system tools.

- Ability to facilitate meetings with the project teams.
- Ability to perform intermediate system analysis
- Ability to issue service calls via POSTMAN or equivalent
- Ability to understand and write SQL queries
- Ability to identify key performance indicators in business processes
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to learn and understand technology concepts, architectural principles, and industry standard practices.
