We are looking to hire a full-time Inventory Control Clerk to join a team responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products through the production process in our manufacturing plant in South Buffalo.
We are looking for a detail oriented, fast paced individual who is comfortable working on their feet for 10 hours a day while picking ~ 100's of individual parts across multiple item numbers each day at 99% accuracy to our parts list.
- 40 hours per week
- 5:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday
- Overtime when needed - Friday 5:30 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday 5:30 am to 11:30 am

Position Summary: In summary, responsibilities include: managing inventory levels, receiving and inspecting materials, conducting cycle counts, reconciling inventory records, and collaborating with various departments to support production activities and achieve operational goals. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods using inventory management software or manual tracking systems.
- Occasionally receive incoming shipments of materials and supplies, verify quantities and quality against purchase orders, and process receipts in the inventory system. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring proper rotation and labeling of materials. Issue materials based on production schedules and work orders.
- Perform regular cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Investigate and resolve any variances found during the counting process.
- Reconcile inventory records with physical counts and investigate any discrepancies. Work closely with other departments such as purchasing, production, and shipping/receiving to resolve issues and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Safely handle and transport materials within the manufacturing facility using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issuances, adjustments, and transfers. Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies and procedures.
Education and/or experience:
- Prior inventory control experience required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to problem solve.
- Computer skills required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds. The majority of the workday must stand and walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crawl.
Full Time, Day Shift, $18.00 - $21.00/hour based on experience.
