In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing heat exchangers for Hydronic HVAC systems to optimize performance, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This position requires a strong foundation in heat transfer principles, fluid dynamics, and hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop terminal heat exchangers for HVAC systems with a focus on heat transfer efficiency and performance.
- Conduct thermal analysis, simulations, and testing to evaluate system performance.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet production requirements.
- Test and validate designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Identify opportunities for design improvements and implement enhancements to existing systems and processes.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
- Maintain performance data and provide expert support to sales and application engineering teams.
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC engineering, with a focus on heat transfer.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of heat transfer principles and proficiency with thermal analysis tools.
- Experience with HVAC design software and simulation tools; SolidWorks experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with ETL/UL or AHRI certification standards is a plus.
- 40 hours per week
