Job Title: MFH Regional Coordinator
Summary – This is a contingent Opportunity and would begin work upon the contract award
The Army National Guard (ARNG) Military Funeral Honors (MFH) program renders professional military funeral honors, in accordance with service tradition, to all eligible veterans when requested by an authorized family member. The MFH program has developed a comprehensive network within communities which quickly responds to the needs of deceased Service members and their Families.
The ARNG is a geographically dispersed force whose members do not have the benefit of installation-based support for MFH and caring for survivors of our fallen heroes. The need to provide MFH to geographically dispersed service members and families is ongoing and increases during periods of mobilization, active service, and state call-ups.
Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. is seeking qualified, trained, and capable individuals to serve as Military Funeral Honors (MFH) Regional Coordinators to support the ARNG. Regional Coordinators oversee and coordinate the activities of the State Coordinators within their respective regions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mentor and advise all staff in areas of program understanding and compliance of Army, NGB, State NG, and IMCOM guidance and regulations.
- Ensure all MFH State Coordinators are vetting all mission requests IAW published guidance.
- Ensure all MFH State Coordinators enter all mission requests into the MFH database within 24 hours and closeout all missions within 72hours.
- Ensure all MFH State Coordinators are following the ARNG MFH Training SOP and overseeing all training within their respective state/territories.
- Ensure all MFH State Coordinators are properly trained to perform all the assigned tasks.
- Monitor all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to ensure quality and effective error mitigation strategies.
- Provide oversight and supervision of team members and ensure they follow program policies and procedures according to guidance.
- Verify that the State Coordinators guide the preparation, resourcing, and execution of training through weekly audits of the MFH Database and records.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and support to contract staff within the area of responsibility. Provide oversight, performance monitoring, leadership development support, and consultation.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and oversight of employee training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree plus 3 years relevant experience. Related experience and education that meet minimum qualifications may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors’ degree.
- Two years’ personnel management/staff supervision experience.
- Prior experience serving in the military.
- Must have knowledge of military lifestyle.
- Experience in record keeping or database management.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the military organizational structure, mission objectives, function, procedures, regulations, and policy of the Department of Army.
- Possess working knowledge of military protocol when addressing Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, Troops and Government personnel.
- Ability to effectively interface and communicate with civilian and military personnel at all levels.
- Proficiency with computers, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power-Point.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge, experience, and skills in military personnel, wellbeing, family, and deployment cycle support.
- Flexibility to support extended work hours as required.
- Valid passport.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working on MFH-SOS or similar government contract.
- Working knowledge of the structure and operation of the ARNG.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to successfully complete a government background investigation to include FBI fingerprints.
- This position requires access to U.S. Government facilities and systems. U.S. Citizenship, a valid driver's license, transportation, and auto insurance are required.

Physical Demands: This individual works in office areas. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. They use a personal computer, telephones, copiers, printers, and other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Employee must be physically and mentally able to perform all contractual duties, which may include transporting, lifting and setting up displays, and standing and walking during activities.
