Server
Duties & Responsibilities
- Tips (alcohol safety) certified
- Greet & bring guests to their tables
- Present menu & silverware & provide detailed information to guests when asked (i.e. about portions, ingredients or potential allergies)
- Prepare tables by ensure caddies are neat & stocked
- Inform guests of daily specials
- Offer menu recommendations upon request
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Take accurate food & drink orders using the POS handheld (not by memorization or handwritten)
- Check customers' IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Communicate order details to the kitchen staff
- Serve food & drink orders
- Maintain a tidy dining area
- Deliver checks and collect payments via POS handheld
- Carry dirty plates & silverware to kitchen for cleaning
- Bring up clean dishes to the line
- Bring all dirty glassware to the bar for cleaning
- Follow all relevant health department regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to guests
- Complete all daily side-work & extra cleaning tasks to ensure restaurant is to standard
- Maintain a positive & professional approach with coworkers & customers
