What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll - Compliance Analyst position at Zelis?
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Process accurate and timely payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Handle compensation, benefits, and deductions, including bonuses, overtime, and other pay adjustments.
- Respond promptly to payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies.
2. Attendance Management
- Maintain accurate employee attendance records using HRIS/HRMS systems.
- Collaborate with department leads to address attendance discrepancies, leave balances, and overtime tracking.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting for time-off requests, absenteeism, and related records.
3. Data Management
- Maintain and safeguard sensitive employee data in line with company policies and privacy standards.
- Regularly audit payroll and attendance records to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Generate reports and analytics to support leadership in decision-making.
4. Compliance and Legal Adherence
- Ensure all payroll processes comply with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing or a related HR/Finance role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., HRMS, SAP, or similar systems) is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a meticulous approach to managing data accuracy.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
