What are the responsibilities and job description for the Co-Founder, AI/Machine Learning Researcher position at Zella International Inc.?
About Our Company
We’re an early-stage startup on a mission to revolutionize gaming with purpose-driven AI agents. Our goal is to build immersive simulations where AI competitors interact, form alliances, and evolve complex behaviors that captivate both players and spectators. As a co-founder, you’ll be shaping the strategic and technical direction of our company from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Strategy & Roadmap: Define the technical vision for AI/ML development, from proof-of-concept research to production-scale deployments.
- Model Development: Design and implement AI models (e.g., reinforcement learning, agent-based modeling) that enable dynamic, emergent gameplay in our simulation environments.
- Algorithmic Innovation: Experiment with novel approaches in multi-agent learning, game theory, and simulation-based training to push the boundaries of what AI can achieve in gaming.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work hand-in-hand with game developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to integrate AI systems seamlessly into the user experience.
- Scalability & Performance: Ensure AI models and training pipelines are optimized for speed and reliability, using modern MLOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-based solutions).
- Mentorship & Team Building: Help recruit and mentor junior researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and collaboration.
- Company Building: Collaborate with fellow co-founders on high-level decisions regarding business strategy, fundraising, and partnerships.
