What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Assistant - Special Needs position at Zen Educate?
We are seeking dedicated professionals to support students with disabilities in our school districts. As an Education Assistant - Special Needs, you will play a vital role in helping students meet their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and maintaining a positive, engaging classroom environment.
This role offers a competitive hourly rate between $18-$22 per hour, paid weekly. There is no requirement to work on weekends, and the position is scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 3:00/4:30 pm on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed staff in the classroom
- Aid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)
- Maintain a classroom environment that promotes learning and engagement
- Work with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presented
- Provide support for students in crisis
- Support students on outings by driving them into the community

Requirements:
- 60 credits, Associates Degree, obtained a passing score on an appropriate ADE assessment, or ParaPro/Praxis Exam
- IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
