Job Description : Overview Zen Educate is hiring part-time Special Education Paraprofessionals to support K-12 special education students. In this role, you'll work alongside licensed teachers—providing one-on-one or small group support with academic modifications, self-care, and social / behavioral needs. Enjoy the flexibility of a part-time schedule that fits your availability while making a positive impact on children's lives during the school year.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist licensed staff in implementing academic adaptations and individualized education plans (IEPs).Work individually or in small groups to support students' self-care and social / behavioral needs.Help maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.Provide timely support to students in crisis situations.Utilize various learning methods to tailor support to each student's needs.Must-Have QualificationsEducation : 60 college credits or higher, OR one of the following : A passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment (65% on the Instructional Support test and 70% on the Knowledge and Application test)A passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment (combined score of 460 or above)Language & Authorization : Professional proficiency in EnglishU.S. Work Authorization (no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance)Experience : At least 1-year experience working with children in any structured setting (e.g., school, daycare, volunteer program)Preferred QualificationsParaPro Certification (upskilling options provided on a case-by-case basis for candidates without the standard educational background)Experience working in special education settings or familiarity with IEPsExperience as a Behavioral Technician or PCA is a plusCompensation & BenefitsPay : $18 - $22 per hour, paid weeklySchedule : Part-time, flexible schedule between 7 : 30 am and 3 : 00 / 4 : 30 pm (Monday to Friday, no weekend work)Benefits : Weekly payPaid Sick Leave401K (with eligibility criteria)One year of paraprofessional training providedWhy Zen Educate?
