Job Summary:
We are seeking part-time paraprofessionals to support K-12 special education students in Minneapolis-Saint Paul. As a paraprofessional, you will work alongside licensed teachers, contributing to a positive learning environment where every child has the tools to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with licensed staff to support classroom activities and maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Help students reach their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
- Support small groups or individuals with classwork and assignments.
- Foster a safe, engaging environment that supports student wellbeing and learning.
- Provide crisis support as needed to promote a safe, supportive space for students.
- Adapt learning methods to each student's needs to encourage active engagement.

Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree or higher OR high school diploma/GED and passing score on Parapro/Paraeducator exam (ETS, Master Teacher, or other).
- 1-year experience working with children in any structured setting (school, daycare, volunteer program, etc.).
- Professional proficiency in English.
- US Work Authorization (no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance).
Preferred Qualifications
- ParaPro Certification (with Zen Educate offering support for certification where needed).
- Experience in special education settings or familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Any experience as a Behavioral Technician or PCA is a plus but not required.
