What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Support Staff position at Zen Educate?
About the Role:
We are looking for short-term, long-term, part-time, and full-time paraprofessionals to start in August to work with K-12 across Orange County.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting the classroom teacher in supporting students' academic and social growth
Developing and implementing individualized learning plans to meet students' diverse needs
Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communication with parents/guardians
Providing emotional support and guidance to students, promoting positive relationships and behaviors
Collaborating with teachers to ensure seamless integration of services and support
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
US Work Authorization; Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time
Professional proficiency in English
Experience working with children with special educational needs
Experience working with personal care, specifically toileting
