Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated full-time paraprofessional to support K-12 special education students in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with licensed teachers to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Work with students to achieve their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
- Provide individual or small-group support during activities and assignments.
- Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Offer crisis support when necessary to promote student wellbeing.
- Use a variety of learning methods to adapt to student needs and enhance engagement.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree or higher OR high school diploma/GED and passing score on Parapro/Paraeducator exam (ETS, Master Teacher, or other).
- 1-year experience working with children in any structured setting (school, daycare, volunteer program, etc.).
- Professional proficiency in English.
- US Work Authorization (no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance).
