Job Description
We are seeking special education paraprofessionals to support students in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
In this role, you will positively impact the lives of children by assisting licensed teachers with academic adaptations, self-care, and social/behavioral needs.
This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate between $15 - $22 per hour, paid weekly. The schedule is Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 - 3:00/4:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed staff in the classroom and aid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP).
- Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and work with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presented.
- Provide support for students in crisis and accompany them on outings into the community.
- Utilize various learning methods to enhance students' learning experiences and provide necessary support.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 60 credits, Associates Degree, or equivalent; a passing score on an appropriate assessment, such as the ParaPro/Praxis Exam, or an IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Experience working with children and professional proficiency in English.
- US Work Authorization - Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in special education, behavioral technician, or PCA experience.
- Crisis prevention (CPI) training and CPR certification.
