Job Description
We are seeking short-term and long-term Teaching Aides to start in August to support K-12 education across Northeast Los Angeles.
As a Teaching Aide, you will collaborate with the classroom teacher to reinforce instructional material with individuals and small groups.
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $19-$22 per hour, paid weekly. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7/7:30 am - 3:00/4:30 pm, with 25-35 hours per week. This position is available for the 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher
- Work with individual and/or small groups of students to reinforce instructed material
- Compile classroom communications
- Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment
- Utilize various learning methods to enhance student experiences and provide support as needed
- Support personal care or hygiene needs

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- US Work Authorization (Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship at this time)
- Professional proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Experience with personal care
- ParaPro Certification or similar
- Past work experience in a school setting
- CPI Training
