What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Manager position at Zena Recreation Park?
The Pool Manager is responsible for guiding Zena Recreation Park’s aquatics operations and for managing the equipment maintenance and chemicals usage at the pool. The Pool Manager will directly manage the team of aquatics employees at the pool. This core position will ensure top-notch customer service, safety, pool maintenance, and adherence to Department of Health standards and client standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Pool Manager is responsible for guiding Zena Recreation Park’s aquatics operations and for managing the equipment maintenance and chemicals usage at the pool
- The Pool Manager will directly manage the team of aquatics employees at the Zena Recreation Park
- This core position will ensure top-notch customer service, safety, pool maintenance, and adherence to Department of Health standards and client standards
- Deliver amazing customer service by having a hospitality-focused, customer-first mindset
- Hire, schedule, train, coach, and directly manage the aquatics team at the pool
- Train new and existing lifeguard staff to ensure compliance with Zena Recreation Park and DOH policies and procedures, and client expectations
- Provide constructive, respectful, and clear coaching to team members
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports and records as assigned
- Interact with Zena Recreation Board of Directors via email and in-person meetings
- Ensure site PPE, chemicals, and equipment are available and properly maintained
- Be the face of Zena Recreation Park for all customer questions, concerns and needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A college degree or higher qualification, or equivalent experience
- 3 years work experience in a supervisory capacity in an aquatics role
- Valid Lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification
- Excellent accountability, attention to detail, and multitasking skills
- Ability to think quickly and solve problems
- Competent communication and listening skills
- Positive energy and enthusiastic attitude!
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position.
