What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Zenar Corporation?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean, grind and profile heavy weldments.
- Apply paint products in accordance with manufacturer’s application specifications.
- Maintain paint inventory and document paint products used.
- Clean up debris from floor and clean work area at end of shift.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
Education and/or Experience
- Working knowledge of and/or ability to learn paint systems.
- Working knowledge of overhead crane operation, chain rigging, forklift operation skills.
Other Qualifications
- Ability to operate a variety of small hand and power tools.
- Must be a self-starter, goal orientated individual with an ability to work modified work hours with short notice.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, customer specifications, company standards, and operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.
