Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP – BC

Work setting: Outpatient clinic, in person and with telehealth flexibility. We are hiring for a provider in Frederick, MD.
Compensation:
We offer contractor (1099) and per diem opportunity
- Salary $80-100/hour
Requirements:
- Must have clean & unrestricted Maryland license
- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Must be able to become credentialed with Medicare and other commercial payors.
- At least one year working experience with pediatrics/adolescents and adults
- MAT experience is a plus
Skills and Knowledge:
- 1-2 years direct clinical post-graduate experience with psychiatric assessment, follow up evaluations and psychopharmacological management for adolescents/children
- Provided counseling and education to patients and families
- Excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills and safety awareness are required
- Identified and managed crisis intervention of patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and scheduling.
- Order diagnostic tests for routine monitoring, r/o medical related illnesses and review relevant medical records
- Coordinated care in collaboration with community providers
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations and promote health maintenance
- Strong work ethics, team spirit with a positive attitude
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge, clinical experience and updated EBP
- Professional Liability Insurance, DEA and CDS are Current/Active
- Self-motivated and capable of working fairly independently

Your earning potential is based on your skills, experience, and qualifications. Our intake appointments are 60 minutes long and follow up medication appointments are 20 minutes.
