Tools and Parts Attendant - Beale AFB

Position Overview

ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an opportunity for an experienced Tools and Parts Attendant to support our Contractor Field Team at Beale AFB. This position will require an active DoD Secret clearance to start. 

Description

• Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment
• Maintains records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searching for lost or misplaced tools when required
• Prepares periodic inventory and/or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed
• Unpacks and stores new equipment
• Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors
• Coats tools with grease or other preservative using a brush or spray gun
• Attaches identification tags, or engraves identifying information, on tools and equipment using an electric marking tool 

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Completion of a specialized training school is desirable
• One (1) or more years’ experience as a tool and parts clerk preferred
• Maintenance, mechanic, or general tool experience preferred 
• Specialized training or tool room experience preferred
• Must be able to work day, swing and/or mid-shifts

Physical Demands

• Work will require a high level of hand dexterity and finger use in both hands, prolonged periods of standing and sitting in combination with stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, as well as ability to lift 25lbs and over with assistance.

Work Environment (ADA)

• May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flight line that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, when applicable.    

Security Clearance

• This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
