Shift/Weekend/On-call differentials: Evening 1500-2230: $3.50 Night 2300-0730: $5.00 Weekend 1500 Friday-0659 Monday: $2.25
Position Requirements
- Required Qualifications:
- BSN preferred (ADN accepted with a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years)
- 1 Year of RN Hospital experience
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN
- Licensure: Kansas RN
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
Unit Description
- Tech or equipment used on the unit: Alaris Infusion Pumps, Alaris PCAs, Stryker Beds, Umano Beds, GE Wireless Telemetry, Masimo Roots with Patient Safety Net
- Unit Description: Patient population: Medical Surgical Adult and Pediatrics
- Average census and nurse to patient ratio: 2N: Average Census 15, 2E: Average Census 15, 2S: Average Census 10Beds per unit: 2N: 26, 2E: 26, 2S: 18
- Schedule Requirements
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- On-Call Requirement: None
- Holiday Requirement: Required
- Travel Requirement: None
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care by performing assessments, administering medications, and managing IV therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical staff.
- Assist in catheterization and tube feeding procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
