Senior Bookkeeper

Position Summary
A Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for reconciling all bank accounts and producing financial statements for specified Trusts. Also responsible for reviewing and approving Bookkeeper reconciliations, journal entries and financials.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries
- Prepare bank reconciliation
- Research and resolve open reconciliation items
- Prepare cash management reports
- Prepare transfer letters
- File FICA and deposit withholding taxes by IRS deadlines
- Produce custom financial statements
- Communicate with multiple banks
- Review and approve Bookkeeper reconciliations, journal entries, and financials
- Train new Bookkeepers
- Ability to meet monthly deadlines
- Ability to complete daily assignments
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Any other related duties assigned by Manager
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Accounting/Banking background required
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Accurate 10-key by touch
- Good communication skills
- MAS90 knowledge preferred
- Must score 80% on basic accounting knowledge test
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Must be able to work under pressure
