Position Summary:
Responsible for general maintenance of the distribution centers buildings and grounds. Activities include plumbing, electrical, lighting, racking, fire protection, transformers, HVAC (excluding Freon work), carpentry, painting, pavement, masonry, doors, dock door, levelers, and lock maintenance. Pay Range: $26.74-$33.42

Essential Job Functions:
- Performs work with a high awareness of safety and actively supports the site safety initiatives.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and dock doors, levelers and locks.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, air compressors, fire system.
- Weld, cut, design and repair aluminum and steel structures and devises.
- Install, repair and replace racking.
- Inspect and evaluate roof structure.
- Perform basic carpentry duties as needed.
- Repair other equipment as needed.
- Assist in monitoring inventory of spare parts, special need items and tools.
- Ability to communicate and escalate with peers and principles.
- Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, tools, workstations and overall facility.
- Works successfully in a team environment.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with our without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Ability to work any shift.
- Valid driver’s license.
Desired Previous Job Experience
- Basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, mechanical and electrical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical instructions, manuals, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to solve practical problems.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with distribution center terms and processes.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects.
- Ability to work within set time frames and fixed deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
- Ability and willingness to continue education, as necessary.
- Skilled with hand tools and power tools.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Tech School certification in facility maintenance including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical.
