Full Time Medical Assistant

Job Overview

We are looking for someone who is preferably Bilingual and is able to converse in English and Spanish/Portuguese.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, obtaining medical history and phlebotomy.
• Document patient information accurately in EHR (Electronic Health Records).
• Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
• Schedule appointments using approved scheduling guidelines. Schedule specialist referrals as needed for patient follow-up.
• Take messages and communicate with clinicians and patients.
• Register Patients and check them in.
• Support clinical operations and patient care.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with providers and other healthcare professionals to relay patient information and updates.

Required Availability

• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive and or non-consecutive days.
• Full-time: Must be able to work three 12-hour shifts a week with at least four (4) shifts a month on a Saturday and/or Sunday.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma required.
• Certification: Medical Assistant certification required.
• Prior experience of working in a Primary Care Clinic is a huge plus.
• Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish or Portuguese is a preference for the role.
