Join our team as a Tableau Analyst/Developer, where you'll design cutting-edge visualizations, optimize dashboard performance, and leverage BOE expertise for mission-critical analytics projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Dashboard Design & Development: Create, modify, and publish advanced Tableau dashboards and visualizations using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server, while incorporating BOE reporting tools as needed.
- BOE Expertise: Utilize Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) to enhance reporting capabilities, integrate datasets, and ensure seamless data delivery across systems.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and troubleshoot Tableau and BOE dashboard/report performance, implementing corrective actions to optimize efficiency.
- User Collaboration & Support: Partner with end-users, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide training, and troubleshooting issues for both Tableau and BOE tools.
- Documentation & Testing: Gather and document user requirements, validate dashboard and BOE report functionality, and ensure data accuracy.
- Experience:
- 8 years designing and developing Tableau solutions using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
- 5 years working with Business Objects Enterprise (BOE), including designing and managing reports.
- 3 years presenting technical and business insights to diverse audiences.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Tableau best practices, advanced features, and BOE reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing techniques, including dimensional models and aggregation.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases like Greenplum, Postgres, SQL Server, or Oracle.
- Communication:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical users and vice versa.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau Prep for data cleansing and transformation.
- Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SAS, R, Python) to complement Tableau and BOE capabilities.
- Experience in requirement elicitation, validation, and user acceptance testing.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments while maintaining a positive attitude.
