Paralegal / Legal Assistant Position Specializing in Real Estate for our
Family-Business Focused Estate Planning and Business Planning Law Practice
(Full-Time or Possible Part-Time)

We are Zenk Law, PLLC: a law firm specializing in estate planning, wills and trusts, estate tax planning, probate / trust administration, farm / business planning, business succession planning and related specialties. We serve families, farms, and other businesses throughout all of western Minnesota, with our principal office in Glenwood, Minnesota.
Responsibilities:
· Client / Matter Management – Ensuring clients and client matters are being handled in a timely manner, meeting deadlines, and follow up. This will include communicating with clients, courts, financial institutions, creditors, and other relevant parties; tracking matter progress and communicating status to attorney as needed.
· Document Preparation – Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including but not limited to, real estate matters, title search, deed review, title work, drafting deeds / real estate matters, easement agreements, real property rental agreements, and recording when required.
· Client Communication – Regular contact with clients by phone, email, and in-person conversations to gather needed information, provide status updates, and answer questions.
· Cover front-office / receptionist duties when needed, including but not limited to, answering phones, greeting clients, meeting room preparation, appointment scheduling, and related tasks when receptionist absent.
Position Specifications:
Education
· A Bachelor's degree or paralegal/legal assistant certificate from an ABA-approved program required
Work Experience
· A minimum of two years’ related law firm experience, specializing in real estate transactions
· Experience in title and survey review
· Experience assisting on farm, business, multi-state real estate transactions
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Knowledge of basic business structures
· Strong knowledge of real estate law and regulations
· Knowledge and proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office Suite, and other programs necessary to complete thorough analyses and reports
· Experience with e-filing and document management systems
· Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills
· Ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, management, support staff and outside contacts and service providers
· Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
· Ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
· Ability to undertake large, long-term projects, develop innovative methods to complete them, and implement solutions
· Ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
· Superior analytical, oral and written communication skills
· Ability to handle confidential information with the appropriate discretion
Job Overview:
Location: Zenk Law, PLLC main office, Glenwood, Minnesota
Job Type: Full Time - 36 hours per week. Part-time available for the right candidate
Schedule: Monday through Thursday: 8 AM – 4:30 PM, with ½ hour lunch break.
Friday: 8 AM – 12:00 PM
Compensation: Hourly, depending on experience. Competitive Benefits Package
