Position Overview

As a Network Administrator, you will report to the Manager of Infrastructure and Security working on a team of 6 individuals ranging from Helpdesk Support, System Administrators and Network Administrators. As the network administrator, you will help manage our server and network infrastructure within the Network and Systems Teams for our internal employees and infrastructure.

The Network Administrator's responsibilities include monitoring system performance and configuring new software and hardware. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems.

You will ensure the smooth operation of our users, systems, software, hardware, servers, and networks.

Primary Responsibilities

Network & Systems Administration

• Configure, maintain, and optimize servers, systems, and networks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and server issues.
• Manage Tier 1 & Tier 2 networking operations for reliability.
• Deploy and maintain networking equipment (switches, firewalls, routers, access points).
• Support cloud services (AWS/GCP) and on-premise infrastructure.
• Research, recommend, and implement technology solutions for efficiency and security.
  
  

User Support & Maintenance

• Provide technical support for network-related issues.
• Assist in onboarding new users, setting up accounts, and access controls.
• Monitor and optimize system performance (software, hardware, servers).
• Oversee seamless integration of new applications.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery protocols.
• Continuously monitor, patch, and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  
  

Network Security & Optimization

• Analyze, improve, and scale data network infrastructure.
• Utilize network analysis tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, SumoLogic, NetBrain).
• Implement and maintain security protocols, risk assessments, and compliance measures.
• Optimize WAN performance, including SD-WAN and traffic shaping.
• Fine-tune network protocols (BGP, OSPF, STP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  
  

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain detailed network diagrams, configurations, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
• Assist in audits and risk assessments.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or administration.
• Strong expertise in enterprise LAN/WAN management and multi-vendor network environments.
• Proficiency in network architecture, design, and troubleshooting (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
• Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPSec, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
• Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing complex network issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid network architectures.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIP (or equivalent).
• Additional certifications such as Cisco Security, CompTIA Network , or compliance-related certifications (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Experience with network security measures (firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure VPNs).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios, Zabbix).
• Expertise in Fortinet network administration (FortiSwitch, FortiGate firewalls).
• Experience deploying and maintaining video conferencing solutions (Zoom Rooms)

In addition to other forms of compensation like perks and benefits, the estimated range for this role is $86,600 - 108,500 USD. The final offer will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skill set, experience, geographical location, market conditions, and other organizational needs. The Company reserves the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for various reasons including business needs
