Position Summary:
The Process Engineer will play a pivotal role in analyzing, designing, and enhancing manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and scalability in the production of modular homes. The role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and ensure seamless integration of processes within our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Analysis and Improvement:
- Evaluate current production workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimize production.
- Monitor key metrics to assess process performance and drive data-driven decisions.
- New Process Development:
- Collaborate with the prototyping team to develop scalable processes for new product models.
- Define and implement robust process controls to ensure consistent product quality.
- Integrate advanced manufacturing techniques, including CNC and FrameCAD systems, into production.
- Documentation and Standardization:
- Develop detailed process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Team Training and Support:
- Train production staff on new processes and equipment.
- Provide on-site support to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with Quality Assurance, Industrialization, and Operations teams to align on goals and objectives.
- Support procurement and scheduling teams in optimizing material flow and production timelines.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Identify potential safety risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all processes adhere to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering or a related manufacturing role.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and process simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (certifications preferred).
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies, such as CNC or FrameCAD systems, is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
