Our rapidly growing company is looking for highly talented and motivated people to join us.THE OPPORTUNITYThis is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to establish a legal function in the US, supporting in the continuous growth of projects within both our EV Fleet and Battery Storage divisions.The role would be reporting to our General Counsel in London and you would be part of an established legal team with experts in a number of specialities.With a clear mandate from our shareholders to grow the business in the US, the role has huge potential to expand and develop over time.To date, Zenobe has offices outside of Chicago and in New York and we would be flexible as to where you worked.A BIT ABOUT THE DAY TO DAYLead across a broad range of work from a legal stance working closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders.Confidently manage general commercial legal related aspects of the businessManage company secretarial role, setting up and leading board meetings, company filings and ad hoc queriesLead on construction / commercial and contract related mattersAbility to upskill and be involved in asset finance / project finance (if you don’t currently have this experience)Negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts such as LOIs, Operation & Maintenance agreements, software agreements and service agreementsProviding advice to internal and external stakeholders on key issues that may impact the business and operations – e.g. corporate governance, regulatory matters, data issuesGeneral day to day advice on key risk and legal issues.Health and SafetyActively contribute to Zenobe's commitment to health and safety, wellbeing and sustainability by; integrating these principles into daily responsibilities, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment, promoting both the physical and mental health of self and colleagues, and adopting sustainable and energy-efficient practices to minimize environmental impact. By doing so, each employee at Zenobe plays a vital role in fostering a culture that prioritises overall safety, holistic wellbeing, environmental sustainability in our business operations.YOUR EXPERIENCESolicitor admitted to practice in with at least 10 years PQE having trained and qualified at a good national or international law firmStrong Generalist experienceStrong Construction & Commercial experienceAn understanding of project finance / financing documents would be advantageousIdeally someone who possesses inhouse experienceExperienced contract negotiator with commercial awarenessExcellent legal drafting skillsSound commercial judgment with an ability to prioritise effectivelyAn understanding of the energy regulatory environment and experience in the energy sector would be a strong advantageAble to establish rapport and build strong trust-based relationships.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Able to thrive in a very fast-paced environment with large amounts of responsibility and ownership.Excellent organisational skills, able to multi-task, meet deadlines and juggle competing demands.Attention to detail and able to produce work of consistently high quality.A strong team player able to work on own initiative.Strong IT skills including MS Office and Teams.For Ilinois / NYC Compensation Description (annually) : Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognise employees for their work and any role at Zenobē, regardless of the location, is eligible for additional discretionary bonuses.Base salary per annum : USD$150,000 - USD$220,000OUR BENEFITSWe have an open, honest and trusting culture here at Zenobe.
