Coatings Manager

Qualifications :

Education & Experience :

  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • 3 years of experience or equivalent education (Required)
  • NACE Level I Certification (Required)
  • NACE Level II Certification or equivalent (Preferred)

Knowledge & Skills :

  • Strong understanding of coatings-related operations, inspection processes, and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret coatings drawings, codes, and specifications

    • Essential Functions :

  • Support and enforce all TTI / FSS company safety policies.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations by working with the EHS department.
  • Maintain all required QC documentation and ensure proper retention.

    • Operations & Management :

  • Coordinate coatings-related priorities and schedules with the Production Manager and Superintendents.
  • Oversee coatings personnel, including staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure each facility has the necessary equipment, consumables, and staffing for production.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to verify that work meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Issue corrective actions when performance or quality standards are not met.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance is performed on all coatings equipment.

    • Procurement & Vendor Relations :

  • Review purchase orders and requisitions for accuracy and cost efficiency.
  • Evaluate external companies and vendors supporting coatings operations.

    • Reporting & Communication :

  • Inform senior management of any production, quality, or safety issues.
  • Coach and develop personnel within the coatings department to support continuous improvement.
