Job Title: Registered Landscape Architect

Position Overview:
Seeking a Licensed Landscape Architect with a passion for sustainable design and a talent for bringing outdoor spaces to life. In this role, you’ll contribute to land development and municipal engineering initiatives, including easement dedications, right-of-way abandonments, site plan modifications, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine landscape designs for a variety of projects (residential, commercial, parks, streetscapes).
- Create planting plans, hardscapes, grading, stormwater management, and irrigation designs.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, surveyors, and environmental specialists to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Conduct site analyses (soil, topography, environmental considerations) and manage land development permits.
- Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and detailed specifications.
- Maintain regulatory compliance (environmental, zoning, local, state, and federal).
- Present design concepts to clients, stakeholders, and government entities.
- Oversee construction administration, including site visits and contractor coordination.
- Keep current on industry trends, sustainable practices, and best practices in landscape architecture.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Landscape Architecture (accredited program).
- Licensure: Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) in Florida or ability to obtain.
- Experience: 5 years in landscape architecture, with a focus on abandonment/dedication processing and municipal projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite; Civil 3D experience is beneficial.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Florida native plants, climate considerations, and environmental regulations.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and presentation abilities for multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Travel: Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel for site visits and meetings.
Preferred
- Experience with municipal clients and local South Florida regulations.
- LEED or SITES certification.
