Job Title: Fabricator Fitter
Job Type: Full-Time
Shifts: Monday - Thursday, 4:30 PM - 5:00 AM (10-hour days). Overtime possible on Fridays.

Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Fabricator Fitters for a position that involves the fabrication of weldments in structural steel, bridge, and storage tank industries. As a Fabricator Fitter, you will work with a variety of welding codes, including D1.1, D1.5, ASME, and API, and will be responsible for interpreting and working from fabrication drawings, performing layout and cutting, and assembling weldments. The role requires a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork while handling physically demanding tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication & Fitting: Read and interpret structural steel fabrication drawings and fabricate components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies based on these drawings.
- Weld Symbol Interpretation: Understand and apply weld symbols and perform layouts for cutting and fabrication on structural steel materials.
- Tool Use: Use grinders, tape measures, torches, plasma cutters, and other hand and power tools common in the structural steel fabrication industry.
- Welding: Perform standard beveling, coping, notching, and weld joint preparation.
- Safety: Support and adhere to company and OSHA safety policies, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Code Compliance: Work with D1.1, D1.5, ASME, and API codes, ensuring all work complies with established fabrication procedures.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed according to specifications and industry standards.
- Physical Demands: Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in structural steel fabrication (required). Experience with bridge and storage tank work is preferred.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to pass a blueprint test at 70% or higher (D1.1 Bridge/Girders & D1.5 Tank Drawings).
- Tack Test: Must pass a standard tack test using FCAW and GMAW processes.
- High School Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Skills: Proficient in beveling, coping, notching, and performing weld joint preparation.
- Fitters: We are hiring both Class A and Class B Fitters.
- Code Knowledge: Must have experience working with D1.1, D1.5, ASME, and API welding codes.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and management.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical labor in an open-air environment during various weather conditions.
- Must maintain a clean and orderly work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting Pay: $22/hour, with increases based on experience and skill level.
