- Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on tax compliance policies, operational impacts, and regulatory obligations.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting information reporting compliance and assess their implications for the organization.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance with global tax reporting standards.
- Collaborate with legal, operations, technology, and business teams to ensure compliance is embedded in business processes and all Zenwork products.
- Liaise with Federal, State and Local regulatory authorities and industry groups on all compliance and fraud related matters to stay ahead of emerging trends. laws and compliance expectations.
- Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, and risk assessments related to tax reporting and withholding.
- Lead research and advisory efforts related to tax information reporting and withholding requirements, including FATCA, CRS, and IRS regulations (e.g., Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter 61).
- Develop an enterprise risk management (ERM) framework to meet industry standards and regulations across the relevant federal, state and local governmental agencies and implement risk-based controls to mitigate fraud exposure
- Work with product and development teams to build fraud prevention and regulatory compliance throughout our systems in an automated and scalable manner
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance organizational awareness and understanding of tax compliance obligations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, JD, LLM, or similar) preferred.
- 10 years of experience in information reporting, tax compliance, or related regulatory functions within the financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international tax withholding and reporting rules (FATCA, CRS, IRS reporting requirements, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and industry groups is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
