Key Responsibilities:
T3 Helpdesk Support
- Provide first-level support (via email and ticketing system) for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to workstations, printers, peripherals, and standard software applications.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions.
- Provide friendly, timely, and informative support to company personnel (as needed).
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff and stakeholders.
- Proactively share insights and recommendations for improving IT processes or preventing recurring issues.
- Occasionally lift heavy computer hardware.
Junior Systems Administration
- Assist in managing user accounts, access rights, and permissions within our domains, including Google Workspace and Office 365.
- Help with setting up new hardware and software systems, including workstation imaging and device configurations.
- Participate in system maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and routine backups.
- Assist with the onboarding of new employees and contractors.
- Collaborate with senior administrators to monitor system performance, network connectivity, and security events.
- Assist senior administrators with building and streamlining processes.
Inventory and Asset Management
- Maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets, including purchase details and licensing information.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to track the location and status of IT assets.
- Coordinate the deployment, relocation, and retirement of devices and peripherals.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and organizational policies regarding asset usage.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and relevant certifications.
- Participate in IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades or software rollouts.
- Contribute to documentation for internal IT procedures and knowledge base articles.
Useful Skills but not required
- Experience or familiarity with automation tools such as Bash, Python, Powershell, or similar scripting languages.
- Any experience in the Solar industry, including Solar processes and best practices.
