Summary of Responsibilities
The Commercial Sales Representative will lead the development and execution of commercial and industrial sales strategies to drive growth across GA and the Southeast. Responsibilities include owning sales plans, driving lead generation, qualifying opportunities, and ensuring effective sales processes. The role will involve preparing forecasts and KPIs, participating in strategic planning, and collaborating across teams, including Design, Installation, and Customer Service. The executive will also monitor competitive factors and provide clear visibility into the sales pipeline at all stages of development. This position requires strong leadership, an entrepreneurial mindset, and expertise in sales and digital marketing.
Essential Functions
Deal Closing & Sales Growth : Identify, qualify, and close solar and battery storage deals with commercial and industrial customers, consistently achieving sales goals.
Sales Strategy & Execution : Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial and industrial sales strategy to drive growth in commercial and industrial markets across GA and the Southeast.
Forecasting & Reporting : Prepare and present forecasts, KPIs, and reports for sales and marketing teams, providing clear visibility into the sales pipeline.
Collaborative Teamwork : Work closely with internal teams, including Design, Installation, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless sales execution and customer satisfaction.
Strategic Planning : Participate in financial forecasting, budget setting, and organizational planning to align sales goals with company objectives.
Sales Pipeline Management : Proactively manage and build a measurable sales pipeline, targeting and pursuing commercial accounts daily.
Account Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain customer relationships post-installation, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
Competitive Analysis : Gather, analyze, and interpret market and competitor data to inform strategic decision-making and gain a competitive edge.
Marketing & Sales Collaboration : Collaborate with the CEO / COO to develop marketing and sales plans, including budget allocation and campaign execution.
Sales Plan Development : Assist in creating and refining sales plans to align with business objectives, ensuring continuous growth in the commercial and industrial sector.
Weekly Reviews : Conduct weekly pipeline reviews to track progress, assess sales activities, and adjust strategies as needed.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
3-5 years of experience selling complex solutions to the C-suite in a B2B environment.
Established executive network within the commercial and industrial sectors.
In-depth knowledge of sales principles and digital marketing practices.
Technical proficiency including CRM systems, Google Console, MS Suite (Excel, MS Work, Outlook); Aurora Solar (solar design software), and Scoop Solar (project installation software) is a plus.
Compensation
Salary : $30,000 - $300,000 per year (base salary plus uncapped commission on all closed deals).
Quarterly bonuses based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
