Admissions Director
Zerbe Retirement Community is recruiting for an experienced Admissions Director to promote our skilled nursing and personal care home in Narvon, PA and coordinate resident admissions in our senior living community. We are looking for dependable, compassionate people who sincerely desire to make a difference. This is a full-time salaried, exempt level role.

Zerbe Retirement Community, a family-owned and operated 87 bed skilled nursing facility along with Personal Care Apartments and Independent Living Cottages, has been serving the geriatric community since 1958. The Admissions Director will act as the initial contact as necessary with discharge planners, family or responsible party to initiate tour of facility and follow up procedures. As the first point of contact for new patients, families and the general public, this position is vital to our success! Qualifications and Skills
- Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator
- College degree preferred, Licensed Practical Nurse
- Experience preferred in an Admissions/Marketing position in healthcare environment
- Long term care experience required
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and 3rd party billing
- Knowledge of medical terminology – ability to discuss clinical evaluations with physicians and other care givers within facility.
- Must be detail oriented, excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, excellent customer service skills, persuasive capabilities, team player and organized
- Basic computer skills and a high level of confidence with interacting with a variety of people
- Must be able to travel locally by personal vehicle as required
- Responsibilities and Duties
- Gather sufficient pre-admission data to determine resident level of care and the ability of the facility to properly care for the resident
- Verify hospital stay dates and obtain authorizations from Insurance Companies
- Interview potential residents and residents’ representatives to collect accurate data
- Coordinate all admissions and complete all paperwork; collect accurate data for all payer sources
- Interact with discharge planners in an effective, efficient manner
- Conduct tours of the facility with perspective families and residents.
- Greet and escort the new residents to the assigned nursing unit
- Maintain and communicate an accurate Company census for all Company departments
- Proactively monitor and coordinate the Medical Assistance process for all residents as needed
