Job Description
The lead barista is the first step into a management level position. This individual be the lead in grinding, brewing and maintaining an expert knowledge of coffee and bakery offerings. They will ensure a branded and consistent product while maximizing profitability and creating an inspiring hospitality experience for the guest.

- Responsibilities
- Grinding and brewing coffee
- Developing/maintaining expert knowledge of coffee
- Taking client orders and receiving payment
- Speaking and interacting with customers
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized working environment
- Following all health and safety guidelines
- Knowledgeable and able to follow operational policies and procedures
- Being punctual and maintaining regular and consistent attendance
- The ability to work flexible hours and shifts which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays
- Contributing to a positive work environment
- Assist with training new associates
- Monitor bakery inventory frequently to ensure cases are stocked appropriate for anticipated business levels
- Preparing ready to eat/heat and go options
- Lead the staff in maintaining the cleanliness of the outlet
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and food and beverage managers
- Request minimum of 1 year of recent bakery experience in a hotel or resort setting
- High school diploma/GED required
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Proven self-starter (confident) and driven
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist and reach for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Utah Food Handler Permit Required
- Knowledgeable/proficient in food and beverage laws/regulations for the State of Utah
