Zero Gravity Basketball is the largest basketball tournament operator on the East Coast. We operate in 26 different states and produce over 175 events per year. Site Director
Description:
The Weekend Event Staff – Site Director serves as the Zero Gravity Basketball liaison on site. They are responsible for:
- Entering Scores into tourneymachine.com
Answering any questions that customers have about the tournament
Posting high quality videos and photos across all our social media platforms
Proper handling of all money and following the proper money handling procedure
Filling out our Site Director Reconciliation Form
Filling out Injury Report Forms for any serious injuries that may occur at the facility
Proper handling and care of all Zero Gravity equipment and supplies
Communicating with coaches, refs, customers, facility staff, and anyone else at our events to work through and resolve any conflicts that may arise
Knowing and communicating Zero Gravity rules to refs and coaches
Keeping courts running on time
Communicating with the Tournament Director throughout the weekend about any major issues that arise or with any relevant information that they need to know
Setup and Breakdown of their facility
Proper management of the other Weekend Event Staff at facility
Any other tasks that are required of them on the weekend by the Tournament Director
Events run from Mid-Mar. through Mid-June in the spring, and from Late Sept. through Early Nov. in the fall
Qualifications:
Strong Desire to Work in Sports
Strong Desire to Work in Sports
- Friendly & Customer Service Oriented, relevant experience preferred
Ability and Willingness to work for prolonged periods
Available to work majority or all Zero Gravity Basketball Events
Strong Communications
Skills
- Excellent Time Management Skills
Reliable Transportation
Willingness to travel up to an hour for an event
Willingness to handle confrontational situations
Excellent Conflict Management Skills
Previous Event Management Experience preferred
Ability to properly handle cash, relevant experience preferred
Management Skills Required, relevant experience preferred
