Marketing & Communications Associate 

Part-time (30 hours/week) ∙ Temporary (10 - 12 weeks) ∙ Remote

ZERO is seeking a temporary Marketing and Communications Associate who is highly organized and detail-oriented. This position supports project management, digital and social media, media relations, website content, email copywriting, and editorial reviews. Strong communication skills and the ability to flex between multiple projects are essential. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Project Management Support
  • Assist in completing campaign briefs and corresponding with Mission, Development, and Operations departments
  • Assistance inputting, assigning and completing Marketing & Communications project deliverables

• Social Media Support
  • Assist in creating copy and visuals for social media platforms.
  • Support Social Media Manager with monitoring comments and messages.
  • Assist in producing social media metrics reports.
  • Draft blog posts.
  • Time code videos.

• Content Generation and Editing Support
  • Draft content for emails, press releases, newsletters, and other content as requested.
  • Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency.

• Media Support
  • Assist in creating regional and national media lists.
  • Assist in sending press releases via email and wire.
  • Assist in producing media metrics reports.

• Website Support
  • Make simple copy and visual content updates to web pages.

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

• Knowledge of Sprout Social, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Capcut.
• Knowledge of Cision and PR Newswire. 
• Knowledge of Drupal.

• Ability to adapt to changing situations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams/departments.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Minimum one-year work experience or multiple Marketing/Communications internships.
• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Google Suite, Drupal, Sprout Social, Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut, Cision, and PR Newswire. 

Physical Requirements:

• Consistent computer use and other office productivity equipment (printer, etc.)
• Prolonged periods of a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
• The ability to recognize details at close range for extended periods of time.
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

This role will report directly to the Senior Director, Social Media & Video Production, and will work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to support ZERO’s mission to end prostate cancer. 

The role offers a compensation of $25 per hour.

This position is based remotely, and candidates may live in any area within the United States.
