Position Overview
We are currently looking for candidates to fulfill a Contract 3D Designer role. Our expectation is for this Contractor to start in or around mid-February or early-March.
As a 3D Designer, your primary focus is to create 3D models for a number of our clients in a highly collaborative environment and develop thoughtful, original ideas that are on strategy.
You will efficiently and effectively model products and scenes within 3D for a variety of brands. In this role you will prioritize artistic vision, technical proficiency, optimization, organization, and problem solving skills. From brand worlds to websites, you will work closely with the 3D team to create work that speaks to the brand's language while ensuring cohesive visuals. You have the skills and understanding to properly execute on modeling, texturing, lighting, animating, and rendering highly editorial and stylized scenes for a variety of brands. You know how to manage your time efficiently and optimize your models / files in order to iterate and problem solve quickly.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesRender product and branding mockups for presentationsCreate highly editorial and stylized product and scene renders for CPG clientsResponsible for modeling and optimizing product assets and scenesDemonstrate broad technical expertise to assist in a wide variety of technical and artistic tasksQuickly solve issues, collaborate, and iterate on products and scenesDemonstrate strong time management and prioritization skillsHas strong organizational skills in both file management and working files in order to preserve ease of collaboration within the 3D teamMeet project deadlines while maintaining quality standardsCollaborate with the design and creative technology teams to create sophisticated interactive 3D experiences for the web and optimize 3D assets for performance on various platforms.Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Blender and the Cycles render engineProficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, photoshop, and After EffectsGeneral knowledge of 3D skills such as modeling, UV mapping, texturing, lighting, and animation.Proficient in optimizing renders and image sequences for web and mobile applicationsExperience creating texture maps for 3D using flat artwork, labels, and product dielines.Experience with creating, lighting, rendering, and animating realistic product rendersDemonstrate strong time management and prioritization skillsDemonstrates strong organization skills within 3D files and file managementAbility to take constructive criticism and iterate on designsExperience working in a variety of visual stylesExperience with creating editorial and stylized 3D product models and scenes for CPG clientsKnowledge of C4D is a plus (redshift and octane render engines)Passion for 3D art and animationWillingness to learn and grow in the field as well as learn new technical skillsA design eye - understanding of typography, color theory, layout and art directionExperience
