What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician (Environmental/Laborer) position at Zero Waste Recycling, LLC?
The Field Service Technician performs tasks associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, facility and equipment decontamination, above ground and underground tank cleaning activities, and confined space entry projects. In addition, this person is responsible for assisting the team with unloading/loading of trucks, operating light equipment, processing a wide variety of materials for disposal and practicing good housekeeping. 40 hour HAZWOPER training is a plus.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Ensures that Health and Safety policies and processes are followed as well as acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, pressure washers to include hydro blasting, skid loaders, and hand power tools.
- Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.
- Working in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment. Working at elevations including working from ladders, scaffolding, and power lifts.
- Completion of associated paperwork, including but not limited to daily worksheets, tailgate safety sheets, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, and Health and Safety requirements & permits.
- Load/unload trucks and trailers of all types including, but not limited to dry van trailers, roll-off containers, walking floor trailers, dump trucks, vacuum trucks and tankers.
- Any other duties as assigned by their supervisor
Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Environmental conditions may vary in heat, coldness, and humidity based on the time of year and location the work is performed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
