What Will You Do?
This position provides overall operations leadership of multiple plants to achieve the financial and operating objectives set by the overall organization business plan. Provides hiring, promotion, and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. Sets objectives and monitors the performance of the plants to ensure current and future production targets, quality standards and safety metrics are met. Optimizes the talent within the organizational structure and fosters an environment to promote individual and team growth and career development goals.
This role liaisons with associated business leaders and functional leadership (e.g., Finance, Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Human Resources, etc.) to ensure strong communication between manufacturing and its counterparts. Establishes operating budgets; monitors the cost and effectiveness of production activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve volume, quality, and manufacturing standards. Implements policies and procedures to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides overall operations leadership of multiple plants to achieve the financial and operating objectives set by the overall organization business plan.
- Drives a culture proactively focused on Safety, supporting safety culture initiatives
- Identify, develop, and implement controls, processes, equipment, fixtures, resources, and skills that are needed to achieve quality products that ship on schedule.
- Create synergies through key performance indicators within manufacturing operations to maximize profit and exceed profit plan targets in manufacturing.
- Partner closely with the Continuous Improvement team to support initiatives across the division.
- Ability to work as a member of the leadership team to develop and communicate a future vision for the business. Garner followership across the organization to progress the transformation to achieve the future state. Identify, coach, and develop talent across the division to support their professional advancement and improve the business's operational performance.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelors degree in a technical field
- 10 years relevant work experience across Operations, Continuous Improvement and General Management Positions to include minimum of 3 years direct management
- Critical thinking skills to properly identify problem area & potential solutions
