What Will You Do?
Under the direction of the Quality Control Supervisor, the Quality Technician assures quality products by conducting in-process and post assembly inspections. This is achieved by working with the Production Supervisors and employees to ensure that the cases are produced to meet the quality standards of the company and the customers product expectations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Inspect cases to the organizations quality standards throughout the whole manufacturing process to ensure nonconforming product is not shipped. This would include part, sub-assemblies, ship loose components, in-process, and end-of-line case inspections.
Process nonconforming material within the FIS MRB Case module according to written instruction.
Communicate nonconforming material and concerns to Production Supervisors to ensure that the future issues are prevented. The technician is responsible of verifying that reworked, nonconforming material meets quality standards and cannot be reintroduced to production.
Escalate of single-point failures which have significant risk to the production Tier 1 boards.
Responsible for assuring customer requirements are met using IFS Shop Orders module, IFS Non-Conformance Report(s) (NCR(s)) attached to the Shop Order, and pre-production meting notes.
Responsible for the documentation of near escapes (nonconformances) and park data in IFS to facilitate data collection and continuous improvement activities. Team member may assist with continuous improvement events to help prevent further occurrences.
Responsible for compressing the end of line photos and storing them in the appropriate network drive. May facilitate the review of photos if there is a quality issue reported from the field.
Assist in the First Article Inspection (FAI) as time allows/permits with direction of the Quality Control Technician.

Requirements for Effective Performance:
High School Diploma or GED
1 years of Quality Control or related experience
Skills/Abilities/Specifications:
Ability to understand basic mathematical concepts
Ability to comprehend and explain simple or complex instructions, both oral and written, pertaining to customer orders.
Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one and in group settings with other employees within the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
Ability to deal with complex problems in both the assembly process and personnel matters.
Behavioral & Environmental Requirements:

Safety toe shoes and safety glasses are required while in production areas.
Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the office and production areas; have use of hands and fingers to use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
