What Will You Do?
A detailed approach and effective cross-functional communication is required in this position. Responsibilities include reviewing product testing results, quality gate inspections, auditing processes, reviewing start up reports, performing root cause analysis and assisting with implementation of corrective actions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist Quality Engineer in formulating and maintaining quality assurance objectives to maximize product reliability, maintain standards and minimize costs
- Collect and verify all product quality checklists are complete within quality gate process
- Collect, compile and maintaining KPI metrics related to quality for the purpose of measuring progress and providing feedback on area tier boards
- Perform root cause analysis and initiate effective corrective actions to address non-conformances
- Review field report issues when assigned
- Update procedure documents, inspection documents and testing documents when revisions occur.
- Perform periodic audits in assigned production processes to ensure standards are maintained
- Provide excellent verbal or written communication upon implementation of corrective actions with affected personnel
- Assists workers engaged in inspecting and testing activities to ensure continuous control over raw materials and finished products
- Assists in analyzing and resolving quality issues.
- Maintains a positive work environment to consistently achieve its goals and reinforces the team approach with employees
- Exercises judgment in planning and sequencing assigned tasks and in dealing with personnel matters.
- Interacts professionally with all departments, vendors and customers for the betterment of Zero Zone
What Are We Looking For?
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of you for this position:
- An Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prompt and regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Comprehend simple instructions, both oral and written, pertaining to customer orders
- Ability to effectively communicate one on one and in group settings with other employees within the organization
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Discussions with employees on individual development
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Capability to adapt, multitask and see the big picture to determine actions required to make the company successful
