We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Dock Attendant to join our team at Port Marina. As a Dock Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our marina guests and ensuring the smooth operation of the dock.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist marina guests with docking, undocking, and securing their vessels.
- Provide clear instructions on docking procedures, including the use of lines, fenders, and other equipment.
- Monitor radio communications and respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized dock area, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff.
- Assist with fueling operations, including monitoring fuel levels, operating pumps, and recording usage.
- Collect fees and handle cash transactions for guest services, such as overnight stays, fuel, etc.
- Conduct regular inspections of the dock, identifying any maintenance or safety issues and reporting them to the appropriate personnel.
- Provide general information about the marina facilities, amenities, and local attractions to guests.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or a strong willingness to learn.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of boating and docking procedures.
- Basic understanding of marina operations and services.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
