What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Hall Supervisor PM position at Zest Culinary Services at Montverde Academy?
The PM Dining Hall Supervisor is responsible for managing the (FOH) food service needs of an elite day school and international boarding school. The PM Dining Hall Supervisor must have strong culinary experience and possess the ability to multi-task and manage a high-volume dining hall with multiple outlets and sports team-related meal activity. The PM Dining Hall Supervisor will collaborate with the Director of Campus Dining related to menu planning and catering events. Responsibilities include (FOH) staff training, development, and oversight.
The PM Dining Hall Supervisor will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, high-energy and enthusiasm. The best candidate will have exceptional skills in the areas of culinary creativity, planning, organizing, delegation, and will possess a hospitality service centered focus and demeanor.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform overall (FOH) duties in support of campus food related activities
- Manage, develop, support and train (FOH) staff and supervisors.
- Support a positive dining culture for an ethnically diverse student population
- Implement and maintain food safety standards
- Occupy a hands-on skill set to cover a variety of positions
- Communicate clearly, professionally and effectively
- Establish and support a positive team-centered work environment
- Ability to cook for large groups
- Ability to assist with catering events, menu planning, ordering, and inventory
Job Qualifications:
- 5 years of prior food service management or in lead (FOH) supervisor role
- Possesses culinary creativity and passion for student dining
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain flexibility and adapt to emerging priorities
- Possess a strong work ethic and integrity
- Be able to work one weekend day and provide coverage as needed
- Serve-Safe Manager Certification required
- Comply with school background screening and drug testing
