Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Director of Collegiate Services provides support to collegiate chapters, and the volunteers who work with them, in all areas of chapter operations.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise the Collegiate Services team and oversee daily operations related to chapter operations, membership processes and volunteer support.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment to support collegiate chapter success, providing ongoing mentorship and professional development to team members.
- Collegiate Support & Chapter Development
- Support the Executive Director, National Council and Collegiate National Officers regarding chapter-related matters and ZTA’s extension initiatives.
- Monitor and track collegiate chapter health and operations.
- Manage and execute extension and new chapter development efforts from exploration through installation.
- Serve as the primary contact for inquiries from university administrators, chapter members, advisors, alumnae, and parents regarding chapter and non-risk-related issues, ensuring appropriate resolutions in collaboration with staff and volunteers.
- Data Analysis & Strategic Insights
- Monitor chapter statistics and membership data, providing analysis and insights to collegiate volunteers and chapters to enhance operational success.
- Stay informed on collegiate trends and best practices across higher education and the National Panhellenic Conference.
- Acts as a database champion, understanding the processes in place and providing strategic solutions to streamline information and improve efficiency.
- Communication & Engagement
- Partner with the Communications Department to prepare and review collegiate-specific messaging as needed.
- Oversee the collegiate award process for national chapter awards, including those presented at major events.
- Identify opportunities to streamline chapter operations through technology, training, and process improvements.
- Evaluate chapter-facing platforms regularly and provide recommendations for enhancements or new technology adoption.
- Event Support and Fraternity Representation
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Fraternity events, including Convention, Officer Leadership Academy, National Officer Academy, and other major gatherings.
- Assist in developing programming and logistics for Collegiate National Officer training(s).
- Provide on-site assistance and leadership at Fraternity events to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
- Represent Zeta Tau Alpha at conferences, campus visits, and industry events to strengthen partnerships and support collegiate members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in a related field, preferably within higher education, fraternity/sorority life, or headquarters staff.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers.
- Proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to independently solve problems and drive initiatives forward.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a proven track record of professional correspondence and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems or membership databases.
- Membership in Zeta Tau Alpha and/or knowledge of fraternity and sorority life is preferred.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
